What is the event all about?

A group of Ukrainian mothers, teachers and psychologists, led by Australian writer Susan Perrow, have created a collection of their own therapeutic stories to help give meaning, hope and light to their personal journey and the journeys of many other Ukrainians.

These stories will be artistically interpreted by Romanian actors, their narration will be in Ukrainian and there will be subtitles in Romanian to bring Romanians and Ukrainians closer, connecting them through the universal languages of symbol and art.

Why therapeutic stories?

For thousands of years, metaphor and story have touched the imagination and the heart and have been used to convey wisdom, healing and hope. All world cultures have invented stories to help people make sense of the chaos we are immersed in from the moment we are born.

✔️ The purpose of creating therapeutic stories today is to help children and adults better understand what is happening around them: how to act in unknown situations or adapt to new living conditions. And performing them in the format of a theatre performance is an artistic way to embody the author’s idea on stage, leave a mark in the hearts and imaginations of the audience and give new meanings.

Whom is this event for?

This event is open to everyone and is designed to bring Ukrainians and Romanians closer together in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

Find time for yourself and your family to slow down, feel the light inside you, get new experiences and meet new friends.

Participants of the event will receive a collection of therapeutic stories with copies of the stories in both languages. The performance was made possible by AMURTEL Romania in partnership with Colegiul National Mihai Viteazu, Asociatia Micile Emotii Mari and funding from CARE-SERA-FONPC.
