“To sum up my EVS I would say, it was a life changing experience. It was the best experience in my life I did so far and I don’t regret it despite some troubles. I would do it everytime again and I miss you too. I can recommend it to everbody to start such an adventure as volunteer because you can learn so much about yourself, others, another country and culture. After my EVS I can esteem my living standards and conditions in Germany much more.”

Quote from Anna:
“I was working in a private kindergarden and I was participating in the daily routine activities (assisting teachers with serving meals, supervising children washing hands, getting ready for naptime, cleaning) . Mainly i was able to plan, implement and evaluate the yoga – language activities i chose for the kids and this was the fun part of my EVS. The kids were divided into 3 classes and the smallest were only 2 years old. Imagine me doing yoga and Italian with such small and cute little students. We laughed a lot doing the routine rock yoga or patience yoga as well as telling a story and miming the animals involved. In this video you can see a typical lesson with a warm up, some relaxation exercises and a singing moment.
The EVS project met even more my expectations. I would evaluate as great the overall success of my project. I am fully satisfied with the tasks and activities I organised and with my HO, with the teachers in the kindergarden and with my mentor who supported me all the time. Of course there were some difficulties. For example especially at the beginning it was stressful to organize and at the same time learn what you have to do with the kids and the
language can be a barrier with the other teachers. In any case I would definitely recommend the EVS to my friends. It’s a great opportunity: I had no stress about money, food and accomodation and was able to experiment a profession as yoga teacher I always wanted to try without the stress of not having enough money or having people pushing me too much at the job place. I was previously studying as a dancer and couldn’t see a future with this profession. Now I know that I could support myself with a job as yoga teacher for kids.
Thanks again! “
