Education for work integration of disadvantaged people

The main goal of this project focused on selecting the organizations from each country, active în formal or non-formal education of adults. Another important characteristic of this project is that most of the organizations that have established local partnerships are centers for adults, dedicated to vulnerable groups or to persons at risk of exclusion.

We put together our experiences concerning educating physically or mentally disabled persons, ethnical minorities, refugees and groups that are at risk. Throughout the project, we’ve reflected on the concept of good practices and on identifying certain characteristics of the selected organizations.

The project culminated in the preparation of a Manual of Education for the Integration of Disadvantaged People in the Work Field. This publication offers a set of experiences shared throughout the project, but also a set of criteria based on which some actions taken by the organizations can be considered good practices.

No doubt about it, this manual  can’t reflect the richness of information the teams brought in to the project.

In the National Labour Group coordinated by each transnational partner, we have worked locally with organizations dedicated to disadvantaged social groups. Some of them have specific characteristics, but all of them are involved in the education of groups included in the category of „risk of social exclusion”.

Based on the activities that took place in each transnational meeting in each country, but also on the compared analysis done by the international partners in national work groups, we conceived a set of conclusions, which is the result of their process of analysis.

This project made it possible for all 4 transnational member organizations (one for each country), but also for the network on national associated organizations (around 5 for each country) to come to know different means of managing education projects for adults.

All organizations are involved in working with groups of in-risk of social exclusion and have different aproaches, distinct ideologies and deep comittment for those weaker members of society.

This activity allows us to gain different experiences, to exchange strategies of interventions, to establish new connections and to find new means of collaborating and reflecting on „the good practices”.
